My final project for Graphic Processes during Fall 2022 was a tabloid newspaper with compositions representing each of the Seven Heavenly Virtues. As a cumulation of my work and learning for the semester, I was challenged to create seven collages to print on 55 gsm paper. This project was sent to and printed by Newspaper Club.
For my project, I took inspiration from my time in Catholic school at St. Teresa's Academy in Kansas City, MO. I included bible stories, paintings of religious figures and religious imagery throughout. All images were collected from Unsplash and edited by me. My cover photo was the seven rings of Heaven according to Dante's Paradiso, along with an illustration of Dante viewing Jesus and angels in Heaven.
Chastity is the abstaining of sexual acts until marriage.
Temperance is balancing enjoying life and overindulgence.
Charity is giving to those less fortunate.
Diligence is hard work for a good cause.
Patience is waiting without getting upset or frustrated.
Kindness is showing compassion for those around you, even if they are different.
Humility is understanding that you are not above everyone else.
